A tisket, a tasket

I finished my baskets. Not the best pictures but you can get the idea of what the quilt top looks like. Those borders take a lot of time. I don't know if I will do that again. Well, I probably will sometime in the future.
I like how it turned out and hope to load tomorrow to start quilting.
May God show us how to save America.

Charity donations

I knitted 24 pair of slippers for charity this year. Last year I made hats, this year I decided to make slippers and I am thinking next year mittens. Time will tell. I might just stick with hats and slippers. I did not achieve my goal of 12 quilts but I had 10. I donated these 10 quilts to Frontier Missions this year. This is the charity I have decided to donate to for the last 3 years I believe.
I will start accumulating quilts for next years donations now. I can't start the knitting yet as I have other projects to work on before I can start that.
It is hard to part with these quilts, each one is special in its own way and they are all unique but a girl can have only so many quilts. These quilts will go to people who really need them and I have to leave it as that.
Have a good day
FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!
May God help us save America.

Been Busy

I have been busy. Not only working five days but sewing these baskets. I made a paper piece basket pattern and have sewn 20 baskets. I am now in the process of sewing them together into a top. I think I am going to like it, I like what I see so far. I just wanted to post and let everyone see it.
Have a great week-end.

A week-end in Montana

We spent the week-end in Montana burning slash on the property. Oh, what fun. Starting the fire, we eventually had four going.

What a dry Christmas tree would look like going up in flames.

My shooting target.

Celebrating four Holidays at one time.

My Jack-O-Lantern.

Our biggest fire the next morning and after a night of rain. We burned about 1/4 of our jenga pile.

Saying good-bye to Jack.
May God show us how to save our republic.

Some Completes

Judy L's latest quilt for an hour project. What a lot of fun and I used up scraps. I made my very scrappy compared to Judy's. A Halloween table topper. I believe I posted the top before quilted, here is quilted and done. My daughter has requested this one.
Bonnie's quilt from Quiltville. I have wanted to do this pattern for a few years and have decided to finally do it. I like how it came out with the fall colors. The pattern is Star Struck.

Just another view.

That's it for tonight. I am a bit under the weather with my fall allergies but other than that life has just been busy getting ready for winter. I have done a lot of canning and keep myself very busy with facebook. If you have a facebood account and would like to be my friend e-mail me and I will tell you have to contact me.
Have a good week and May God show us how to save America.

My Version

This is my version of Marcie's new Christmas table topper. Marcie, at Patchalot More has offered a free table topper pattern for the last three years and I have made each one of them. I like her patterns, they are nice and her instructions are very concise.
I did change the color theme, I decided to go with more of a winter theme verses the Christmas theme.
I know I have not been very good at keeping up with my posts. I have not been very productive for one thing. I have been spending much of my time on facebook, if any of you who read my blog are interested e-mail me and I will add you as a friend to my facebook.
I have finished a few quilts and am in the process of putting the binding on, when they are completed I will post pictures.
I best get back to work now. Take care and may God direct us on how to save our country.
